Rooms go quieter when olive green is this sure of itself. The background here does the heavy lifting, and the brown checks and cream stripes sit on top of it without shouting. Put it up and the wall stops being background. Warm wood, cream walls and a bit of cane suddenly look deliberate rather than accidental. It earns a proper spot: above a sofa, over a sideboard, or at the far end of a hallway where you see it head-on. Pair it with soft, plain textiles and one or two stoneware pieces in earthy colours. What not to do is crowd it with other busy patterns on the same wall, or hang it above a boldly patterned rug. On paper the flat colour stays clean and matt.

How do I frame an art print?

Good news—you don’t have to!

All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

  • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
  • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
  • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
  • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

What makes Fab frames so good?

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

  1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

  2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

  3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall

Will the brown and cream checks fight with a patterned rug?

They can. The checks here are big and high-contrast, so they read as pattern from across the room. If your rug is already geometric, keep the floor quiet under this one or move the print to a wall where the rug is out of view, such as above a sideboard or in a hallway.

Does this work on a dark green or deep blue wall?

Yes, and it is one of the better options. The olive background sits happily against darker paint, while the cream checks and stripes do the lifting. On a deep green wall the print feels built in; on deep blue the warm browns and the small orange fruit stand out more sharply.

Is it big enough to hold a wall on its own?

In a large or statement size, yes. The figure fills the frame edge to edge, so there is no empty margin to make it look lost. Go smaller only if you are grouping it with two or three other pieces, otherwise the pattern detail gets fussy and the impact drops.
