Om detta konstverk

Every house has one. A slice of wall at the turn of the stairs, or a gap between two windows too narrow for anything square. Give that wall this. The navy fields run the full drop and the mustard lands where the afternoon light does, so the strip finally looks planned. Against chalky white plaster the dark blue reads almost black at dusk, which suits a landing. Hang it a hand's width lower than instinct says, so you meet it on the way up. Keep everything else off that wall. Where the stair has a pale oak handrail, the olive patches pick it up without trying. On fine-art paper the thin ruled lines stay crisp, which matters on a narrow wall seen up close.

How do I frame an art print?

Good news—you don’t have to!

All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

  • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
  • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
  • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
  • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

What makes Fab frames so good?

Not all frames are created equal. Many cheap frames are made with acidic materials or glazes that lack UV protection—meaning your beautiful print could fade, discolor, or deteriorate over time.

At Fab, we do things differently. Our frames are thoughtfully built to preserve and protect your artwork for the long haul. We use FSC-certified wood, 100% acid-free materials, and a UV-protective glaze to keep your print looking vibrant for decades.

That’s why our prints have an 80+ year archival lifespan—no fading, no yellowing, just art you’ll love for years to come.

If you're investing in art you love, it's worth framing it right.

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

  1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

  2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

  3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall

Will the navy look too heavy in a hallway with no window?

Less than you would expect, because more than half the piece is cream and the navy sits in one column rather than spreading across it. In a windowless hallway the cream does the lifting and the navy gives the wall an edge to hold. Keep the wall itself white or off-white and use a warm white bulb rather than a yellow one, so the cream stays clean.

How big does it need to be on a stair landing?

Go tall. On a landing you see it from below and from the side as you climb, so anything under about 80cm high shrinks into a strip of colour. At 100cm or more the separate plots stay readable from the bottom step, and the fine lines still register when you pass within arm's reach at the turn.

Does the mustard fight a grey room?

Not if the grey is warm. Against greige, stone or mushroom walls the mustard and olive read as earth colours and settle in. Against a cold blue-grey the mustard turns sharp and the navy disappears into the wall. If your grey leans cool, hang it on the one white wall in the room instead and let the grey stay elsewhere.
