How do I frame an art print?
Good news—you don’t have to!
All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:
- Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
- We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
- Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
- Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.
Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.
What makes Fab frames so good?

How do I hang art prints?
It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.
Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:
- Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.
- Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.
- For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.
Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.
Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall
Will the teal background feel too dark on a small wall?
No — the teal here is rich rather than heavy, and the warm red dress lifts it. On a small wall it reads as a single focused colour moment rather than a dark patch. It works especially well on chalky off-white or warm cream walls, where the teal feels painterly rather than flat. Give it a little breathing room around the edges and it sits comfortably.
Does the red clash with warm-toned rooms?
It depends on the warm tone. The red here leans deep and slightly earthy, so it sits well with terracotta, tan, oat and warm cream. It can fight rooms that lean yellow, peach or coral, where the red and teal start to compete. If your room is warm-neutral or earthy, it slots in easily. If it's already saturated with warm yellows, choose a quieter piece.
Is this a good choice for a bedroom above the bed?
Yes, especially in a calm bedroom with linen bedding and painted timber or rattan. The portrait is quiet enough not to feel intrusive over a bed, but characterful enough to anchor the wall. Hang at standard above-bed height with around 15-20 cm clearance above the headboard, and keep bedside styling low and natural so the figure leads.
