How do I frame an art print?

Good news—you don’t have to!

All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

  • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
  • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
  • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
  • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

What makes Fab frames so good?

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

  1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

  2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

  3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall

Does the pale blue background read more grey or more blue?

It's a soft, washed sea-blue — clearly blue rather than grey, but very low in saturation. Against a cream or off-white wall it leans gently blue. Against a cooler grey wall it can look more neutral. If you want the blue to sing, hang it against warmer cream or pale pink walls.

Is this too childish for a grown-up kitchen?

It is playful by design, but it isn't cartoonish. The brushwork is hand-painted and the palette is muted rather than candy-bright, so it sits happily in adult kitchens that don't take themselves too seriously. If your scheme is strictly serious or moody, this won't be the right fit.

Will it work as a single piece, or does it need a partner?

It holds a small wall on its own, especially the awkward strip between cabinets or above a kettle. If you want more, pair it with one or two other small hand-painted food prints in the same soft palette rather than competing statement pieces.
