How do I frame an art print?

Good news—you don’t have to!

All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

  • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
  • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
  • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
  • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

What makes Fab frames so good?

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

  1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

  2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

  3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall

Is the museum-style text part of the print or just the listing image?

The 'Henri Rousseau / The Repast of the Lion / Paris, France / Est. 1907' lettering and the cream border are part of the printed design. It's a museum-style poster layout, not a borderless reproduction of the painting alone. If you'd prefer the painting without text, this isn't the right version.

Will the dark greens look too heavy in a small room?

The cream border around the image gives the eye room to breathe, so it carries more easily in small rooms than a full-bleed dark print would. It still works best on a calmer wall — chalky off-white, clay, or a deep green that matches rather than competes. Avoid hanging it on a busy patterned wallpaper.

Does this work as a pair with another Rousseau jungle scene?

Not really. Rousseau's jungles are each strong soloists, and two side by side tend to fight rather than flatter. If you want a second piece in the same room, pick something quieter — a small botanical study, a single-flower print, or a calm landscape — and keep it on a different wall.
