How do I frame an art print?

Good news—you don’t have to!

All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

  • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
  • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
  • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
  • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

What makes Fab frames so good?

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

  1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

  2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

  3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall

Does the cream background look washed out on a white wall?

Not really — the ground is a soft, slightly warm off-white with brushy darker marks running through it, so there's enough texture to hold its own on a white wall. It sits even more comfortably on cream, oat or soft plaster walls, where the warm tones tie in.

Is the bird small in the composition, and will it read from across the room?

The bird sits roughly in the upper third and is a modest size in the frame — it's clearly the focal point, but the flowers carry equal weight. At medium size, the bird reads clearly from about a metre or two away. Smaller sizes are best for closer viewing spots.

Will this work in a nursery without feeling too sweet?

Yes. The palette is gentle but the brushwork is loose and a bit moody in places, so it reads softer and more grown-up than typical nursery florals. It also grows with the room — easy to move to a guest bedroom or hallway later.
