How do I frame an art print?

Good news—you don’t have to!

All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

  • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
  • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
  • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
  • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

What makes Fab frames so good?

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

  1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

  2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

  3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall

Is the cat painted into the original, or added later?

The cat is our addition. The garden, the irises and the brushwork are based on Van Gogh's 1889 painting; the small black cat in the foreground is a modern twist we've slipped in. It's meant to be playful — not a faithful museum reproduction.

Will the deep blues feel too heavy in a small room?

Not really. The greens and the warm earth path balance the blue out, so it reads as colourful rather than dark. In a small room, hang it on a pale wall and give it some space — don't cram it next to other busy patterns or wallpaper, and it'll lift the room instead of crowding it.

Does it work as a standalone piece or do I need to pair it?

Standalone. It's busy enough to hold a wall on its own, and pairing it with another strong print usually fights for attention. If you want company on the wall, keep it small and quiet — a tiny line drawing or a plain typography print rather than another floral.
