Om detta konstverk

Teal cools a room and coral warms it, and this does both at once. In a white tiled bathroom the teal reads as water, a cold the room can carry without turning clinical. Put it in a child's bedroom with pine or pale painted furniture and the coral wins instead, so the whole wall feels warmer than the paint on it. Either way the octopus is the only loud thing you need. Keep bedding and towels plain white or soft blue. North light suits it. The teal deepens, the red holds, and a chilly box room gets a reason to smile. Stretched over a wooden frame it hangs without glass, which suits a steamy bathroom and a child's thrown pillow.

How do I frame an art print?

Good news—you don’t have to!

All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

  • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
  • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
  • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
  • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

What makes Fab frames so good?

Not all frames are created equal. Many cheap frames are made with acidic materials or glazes that lack UV protection—meaning your beautiful print could fade, discolor, or deteriorate over time.

At Fab, we do things differently. Our frames are thoughtfully built to preserve and protect your artwork for the long haul. We use FSC-certified wood, 100% acid-free materials, and a UV-protective glaze to keep your print looking vibrant for decades.

That’s why our prints have an 80+ year archival lifespan—no fading, no yellowing, just art you’ll love for years to come.

If you're investing in art you love, it's worth framing it right.

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

  1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

  2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

  3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall

Will the teal make a small bathroom feel dark?

Not if the walls and tiles are white. The teal is a mid-depth blue-green rather than a navy, and against white tile it reads as water colour, not shadow. Problems only start with cream or beige tiling, where the teal turns muddy. Keep the rest of the room pale and the picture will feel like the brightest thing in it.

Is it too bold for a nursery?

It depends on the wall. Above a cot you may prefer something softer, since the red is lively rather than sleepy. On the wall opposite the cot, or above a changing table, it gives a baby something clear to look at and gives the room a colour to build on. It also grows with the child, which pastel prints rarely do.

What size works best in a child's bedroom?

Around 50 to 60cm square above a single bed, or 70cm above a double. The octopus needs enough room for its arms to stretch, so anything under 40cm turns it into a small spot on a big wall. Hang it lower than you would for adults, so a child in bed meets it at eye level.
