Om detta konstverk

This isn't wall filler. It's mustard brown with a point of view. The dog is mid-stride, side-on, with a red collar and a small black moon above its tail — simple shapes doing a lot of work. Hang it and a plain wall stops being plain: the warm cream background keeps things soft while the mustard gives the room a bit of grit. It suits a hallway at eye level, a living room above a low sideboard, or a study wall you look at all day. Pair it with warm wood, cream or clay walls, wool and linen, stoneware. Don't crowd it with busy florals or glossy silver fittings — the flat, hand-printed look needs a little breathing room. As a canvas it reads softer, with no glazing to reflect.

Printing, Paper and Frames

Quality you can see (and feel)
Printed using museum-grade giclée technology on thick, matte art paper - no glare, just soft, natural colour that looks beautiful.

The kind of detail and depth that makes people lean in closer. Hand-framed in solid FSC-certified wood. Never cheap MDF or plastic-y veneers.

Won't fade, even in direct sunlight
Premium acrylic glaze with UV blocking keeps colours vibrant for 100+ years. Hang it anywhere - bedroom, hallway, that sunny spot above the sofa - without worry.

Unbox, hang, done
Arrives framed with fixtures already attached. Two minutes with a hammer and your wall goes from blank to "where did you get that?"

Made responsibly
FSC-certified wood and paper. Water-based, vegan inks. Crafted to order, so there's zero waste and zero guilt.

How do I frame an art print?

Good news—you don’t have to!

All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

  • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
  • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
  • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
  • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

What makes Fab frames so good?

Not all frames are created equal. Many cheap frames are made with acidic materials or glazes that lack UV protection—meaning your beautiful print could fade, discolor, or deteriorate over time.

At Fab, we do things differently. Our frames are thoughtfully built to preserve and protect your artwork for the long haul. We use FSC-certified wood, 100% acid-free materials, and a UV-protective glaze to keep your print looking vibrant for decades.

That’s why our prints have an 80+ year archival lifespan—no fading, no yellowing, just art you’ll love for years to come.

If you're investing in art you love, it's worth framing it right.

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

  1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

  2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

  3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall

Will this look like my own ridgeback?

Not exactly. It's a stylised folk illustration rather than a likeness, so the shape, stance and ridge read as the breed while the markings are simplified. If you want your own dog's face and colouring recorded in detail, a photographic or commissioned portrait is the better route.

Is the red collar going to clash with my room?

It's a small, muted red and only a slim band, so it behaves like an accent rather than a colour to match. It sits happily with terracotta, rust, deep green and warm brown. In a mostly cool grey room it will read as a warm pop, which some people like and some don't.

Does a square piece work in a narrow hallway?

Yes, and often better than a tall piece. A square keeps its width within the wall and the single dog shape is easy to read as you walk past. Hang it at eye level, leave clear wall either side, and keep anything below it low — a bench or shoe rack rather than tall furniture.

What size should I go for above a sideboard?

A medium square is the sweet spot. Aim for a piece around two-thirds the width of the sideboard, hung roughly a hand's width above the top. Go larger only if the wall is wide and empty, since the flat cream background needs some bare wall around it to look intentional.
