How do I frame an art print?

Good news—you don’t have to!

All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

  • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
  • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
  • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
  • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

What makes Fab frames so good?

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

  1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

  2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

  3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall

Will the orange be too strong for a small kitchen?

It reads as one bright spot rather than a wash of colour. Roughly half the picture is cream, so the orange is concentrated in the bird itself. In a small kitchen, keep the surrounding wall plain and let it be the only loud thing on that side of the room. It sits happily with off-white, soft blue and pale wood.

Does the gingham pattern clash with patterned tiles or wallpaper?

It can. The checks at the bottom are a pattern in their own right, so they compete with strong tiles or busy paper. On a plain painted wall it looks deliberate. If your splashback or wallpaper is already patterned, hang it on a different wall in the same room so the two don't sit in one view.

Does it work as a pair with another bird picture?

Yes, as long as the second piece is quieter. Two loud birds facing each other can feel restless. Choose a companion with more cream and less strong colour, hang both at the same height with a small gap, and let the robin be the one that draws the eye first.
