It brings movement to a flat wall without adding a single new colour, so a quiet grey or off-white room gets energy rather than clutter. Hang it at eye level in a hallway, above a desk, or in a pair either side of a doorway. Keep the surroundings simple: pale wood, black metal, plain ceramics, one green plant. Don't crowd it with busy patterns or other black-and-white line pieces of the same weight — the scribble needs room to read.

How do I frame an art print?
Good news—you don’t have to!
All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:
- Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
- We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
- Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
- Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.
Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.
What makes Fab frames so good?

How do I hang art prints?
It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.
Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:
- Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.
- Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.
- For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.
Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.
Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall
Will it still look like a cat from across the room?
Yes, if you give it space. The dense scribbles in the head and body read as a solid shape from a distance, with the ears and tail giving the outline away. At around one and a half to three metres it settles into a clear sitting cat. Keep at least a hand's width of clear wall on each side so the outline stays legible.
Does it work in a room with lots of colour?
It does, as long as the walls behind it are fairly plain. Black on white acts as a break between colours rather than competing with them, so it sits well near mustard or green upholstery. Hang it on a painted or neutral wall rather than over patterned wallpaper, where the loose lines start to disappear into the print.
Can I pair it with another animal drawing?
Yes, but choose a quieter partner. A second heavily scribbled animal of the same size will fight it for attention. A simpler line drawing, a small sketch or a plain typography piece works better, hung slightly smaller so this one stays the lead. Two or three pieces is plenty for the group.
