Nothing in this coral, mustard and grey-green whispers, even when the kitchen does. Seven sardines line up down a cream page and give a quiet room a bit of wit without shouting for attention. Hang it on the wall beside the range, above a run of open shelving, or in a dining nook where people sit long enough to notice each fish is a different colour. It sits happily with pale wood, painted cabinet fronts, rattan and stoneware, and it lifts a chalky off-white or soft sage wall. Don't crowd it with busy patterned art or bright novelty kitchen signs — the row needs clear space either side to read properly. On fine-art paper the cream ground stays soft and matte, so the coral and mustard hold their edge.

How do I frame an art print?

Good news—you don’t have to!

All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

  • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
  • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
  • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
  • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

What makes Fab frames so good?

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

  1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

  2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

  3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall

Will this look odd near a dining table?

Most people find it reads as a vintage study rather than food. The fish are stylised, flat-coloured and laid out like specimens on a page, so it feels more like an old reference plate than a seafood picture. If you'd rather keep it out of the dining zone, it works just as well in a kitchen corner or hallway.

Does it need a lot of wall space?

No. The composition is tall and narrow, so around 45cm of clear wall width is enough. That makes it useful for the awkward strip beside a doorway, between cabinets, or on a short hallway wall. Just keep the space either side of the row fairly empty so the line of fish stays easy to read.

Will the cream background show against a white wall?

The background is a warm cream rather than bright white, so it reads slightly softer than a crisp white wall. A slim black frame gives it a clean edge and stops it blending in. Against off-white, sage or clay-painted walls it sits comfortably with no frame trickery needed.
