Om detta konstverk

Above the headboard is the wall most people give up on. It is wide, it is low, and nothing in the shops is the right shape. This river is. At a metre across, the water runs the full width of a double bed and the pale sky settles at pillow height. Sepia brown against a chalky off-white wall reads as warm rather than gloomy, and it forgives a dark oak bedframe that fights with anything colourful. Linen bedding in oat or stone. One lamp. Skip patterned cushions, the hills already give the wall its texture. In a north-facing bedroom the mist in the picture matches the light outside, which is a rare kind of luck. Stretched on canvas it hangs without glazing, so a bedside lamp throws no glare across the water.

Are Fab canvas prints good quality?

Absolutely. We use museum-grade canvas (the same stuff galleries use) stretched over solid wood frames. The canvas is thick enough that you can't see through it, and we wrap the print around the edges so there's no white border it looks finished from every angle.

When people see it on your wall, they'll assume you bought it at a gallery, not online.

Does it come ready to hang? Is it available framed?

Yes to both. Every canvas comes stretched over solid wood and ready to hang - hardware's already on the back, just hang it up.

You can choose unframed (modern, minimalist look - the print wraps around the edges) or add our real wood frame for a more polished, gallery finish. Either way, it's ready to go straight on your wall. No assembly, no extra trips to the frame shop.

How do I know what size will actually work in my space?

Here's the rule of thumb: your canvas should take up about 2/3 to 3/4 of the width of your furniture (like a sofa or bed). So if your couch is 180cm, you want something around 100-120cm wide.

Too small of a canvas looks lost on the wall. Too big overwhelms the room. If you're between sizes, go bigger it's almost always better to have impact than to have something that disappears.

Still not sure? Contact our team with a photo of your space and we'll tell you exactly what size will work.

What's your return policy?

If it shows up and you're not happy with it, you have 99 days to return it for a full refund—no questions asked.

We've been doing this long enough to know that sometimes a piece just doesn't work in your space, and that's fine. Just email us and we'll sort it out.

Will a brown picture make my bedroom feel dark?

Not this one. Nearly a third of the picture is pale off-white sky and water, so the overall tone sits closer to warm beige than to brown. Against a white or off-white wall it lifts rather than sinks. Where it can feel heavy is on a dark green or navy wall in a room with small windows, so keep the wall pale if the light is poor.

How wide should I go above a double bed?

Aim for the picture to cover roughly two thirds to the full width of the headboard. For a standard UK double that means around 100 to 135cm across. Smaller than that and the river and far hills blur into a brown strip from across the room. The 2:1 shape keeps the height modest, so even at full width it will not crowd the ceiling.

Does it work in a living room as well as a bedroom?

Yes, above a sofa it behaves the same way, filling the long low gap that square pictures leave. It suits rooms with leather, dark wood or a wool rug in oat or grey. In a living room with lots of colour in cushions and throws it can look a little sombre, so it is happiest where the textiles stay neutral.
