Black ink on white is the only colour story here, so the wall stops being a blank patch and becomes the thing you look at. The rest of the room can stay quiet. It works best where you pass by often — a hallway, the top of the stairs, a study wall behind a desk — because the tangle reads as a cat from a few steps back and pulls apart into loose lines up close. Pair it with pale wood, painted furniture, black metal legs and simple white ceramics. Don't crowd it with heavy pattern, busy wallpaper or lots of small colourful pieces; the lines need clear space either side to land. On premium fine-art paper, the ink edges stay crisp and the white sits flat and clean.

    How do I frame an art print?

    Good news—you don’t have to!

    All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

    • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
    • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
    • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
    • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

    Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

    What makes Fab frames so good?

    How do I hang art prints?

    It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

    Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

    1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

    2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

    3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

    Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

    Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall

    Does it still read as a cat from a distance?

    Yes — that is the whole trick. From two or three metres away the scribbles settle into a sitting cat with pricked ears and a curled tail. Step closer and it breaks back into loose lines. Hanging it at eye level with clear wall either side gives you both readings.

    Will it work in a room that already has lots of colour?

    It will, and it is one of the easier pieces for a colourful room. There is no colour to clash, so it acts like a full stop against greens, pinks or patterned textiles. Just keep the wall behind it fairly plain so the black lines have somewhere to sit.

    Is it suitable for a child's room?

    It suits older children and teens well — the cat is friendly but the drawing is graphic rather than babyish, so it lasts as tastes change. In a nursery you may want something softer and warmer. Pair it with plain painted walls and simple pale furniture.
