What are botanical prints called?

They're usually described as botanical illustrations or botanical studies "" detailed drawings or paintings of plants made to show structure such as leaves, stems, seed heads and flowers accurately. Older examples are often called antique or vintage botanicals, and many were originally produced as engravings or lithographs for plant reference books. Decorative reproductions of that style are simply sold as botanical art prints or botanical study prints.

Who are the famous botanical illustrators behind this style of print?

The tradition runs from 17th- and 18th-century plant engravers through to celebrated figures such as Pierre-Joseph Redouté, known for roses and lilies, and Maria Sibylla Merian, who paired plants with insects. Scientific societies and horticultural archives hold thousands of flora illustrations from the 1600s to the 1900s that shaped the look. Decorative botanical studies today borrow that same precise, specimen-on-a-plain-ground composition.
