Which rooms suit calm lake wall art best?

Lake scenes work anywhere you want the mood to slow down. Square or portrait formats suit narrower walls, stairwells and alcoves, or work well grouped in a pair. As a rule of thumb, aim for artwork roughly two-thirds the width of the furniture below it (for example, for a sofa about 210 cm (about 2.1 m) wide, choose artwork around 140 cm (about 1.4 m)).
