Kew Gardens Art Prints

4.8

Kew's glasshouses, the Great Pagoda, palm fronds and orchid studies, this collection takes the gardens in botanical close-up and architectural line. Sepia plant plates suit a hallway run; big green foliage lifts a kitchen or bathroom wall. For the look of old plate books, Kew Gardens vintage art prints go further, pagoda art prints follow that silhouette, and London art prints place it all in the wider city.

Which Kew print should you go for

Short answers on framing, colour, where these prints sit best and what happens once you order

Do your Kew Gardens prints come framed and ready to hang?

Yes, and this is honestly where we think we shine. Every framed Kew Gardens art print ships as one piece: the print is professionally fitted into a solid wood frame with UV-protective acrylic glazing, so it arrives ready to hang straight out of the box. No fumbling with separate frames, no warped corners, no bubbling behind the glass. We hear from customers constantly that the framing quality is better than they expected, and the prints look even richer in person than on screen. If you've been burned by flimsy frames from elsewhere, this is the fix.

Which Kew Gardens print works best as a gift?

The Palm House is the one. It's instantly recognisable to anyone who's visited Kew, and it works as a beautiful piece of wall art even for someone who hasn't. We'd recommend a framed print in around 40x50cm or 50x70cm, which is a generous gift size without overwhelming someone's space. It's the kind of present that actually gets hung up rather than leaned against a wall for six months. With our 99-day returns policy, the recipient can exchange if they'd prefer a different size or style.

Are botanical prints like these still in style for interiors?

Botanical prints haven't gone out of style since the Victorians popularised them, and right now they're having a particularly strong moment. The current trend leans toward oversized single botanical statements rather than clusters of small prints. A large Kew Gardens botanical print (we go up to 70x100cm framed) in a living room or hallway feels fresh and grounded rather than twee. Pair it with natural textures like linen, rattan, or warm wood tones and you have a room that feels considered without trying too hard.

How should I style Kew Gardens wall art in a living room or hallway?

For a living room, we think a single large Kew Gardens print (60x80cm or 70x100cm) centred above the sofa is the strongest move. The lush greens in most Kew scenes work brilliantly against neutral walls like warm white, soft grey, or pale plaster pink. For a hallway, go portrait orientation if your wall is narrow, and don't be afraid to hang it lower than you think, roughly at eye level when standing. The matte paper we use means zero glare, so even a spot opposite a window will look sharp.

Why is Kew Gardens such a popular subject for art prints?

Kew has over 260 years of history as a centre for botanical art and science, and its landmarks like the Palm House, the Temperate House, and the Great Pagoda are some of the most visually striking structures in London. That combination of architectural drama and natural beauty gives artists and photographers an unusually rich subject. Whether you're drawn to the Victorian glasshouse aesthetic, the lush tropical interiors, or the formal gardens, Kew Gardens artwork captures a sense of place that feels both timeless and deeply English. It's one of those rare subjects that works as both a personal memento and a genuinely beautiful piece of wall art for anyone.
