    How do I frame an art print?

    Good news—you don’t have to!

    All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

    • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
    • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
    • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
    • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

    Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

    How do I hang art prints?

    It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

    Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

    1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

    2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

    3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

    Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

    Wirkt das Marineblau in einem kleinen Schlafzimmer zu dunkel?

    Auf einer hellen Wand nicht. Mehr als die Hälfte der Fläche ist ein warmer Cremegrund, sodass das Marineblau eher als Linie und Form wirkt statt als dunkler Block. In einem kleinen Raum halte die Wände in Off-White, die Bettwäsche hell, dann bleibt es klar, ohne den Raum zu schließen. Problematisch wird es nur, wenn die Wand selbst schon marineblau oder dunkelgrau ist.

    Wie breit sollte ich über einem Doppelbett wählen?

    Orientiere dich an der Breite der Matratze oder etwas weniger, also ungefähr 100 bis 120 cm für ein Standard-Doppelbett. Durch das 2:1-Format bleibt die Höhe dezent und es bleibt Luft zwischen Kopfteil und Decke. Hänge die Unterkante etwa 20 cm über dem Kopfteil. Unter 80 cm verliert der Oktopus seine Wirkung.

    Passt das ins Badezimmer oder ist das Motiv zu groß?

    Es passt sehr gut ins Badezimmer, besonders mit weißer Vertäfelung und einer cremefarbenen Wand darüber. Hänge es quer über die Badewanne oder über einen langen Waschtisch, eher in 80 cm Breite, damit es gut zwischen Sockel und Decke sitzt. Wenn der Rest des Raums frei von weiteren Meeresmotiven bleibt, wirkt der einzelne Oktopus bewusst und nicht thematisch überladen.
