How do I frame an art print?

Good news—you don’t have to!

All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

  • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
  • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
  • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
  • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

  1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

  2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

  3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall

Is the French lettering across the top part of the print, or just on the original?

The 'Absinthe Robette' lettering and the Goffart Bruxelles imprint at the bottom are part of the artwork and reproduced faithfully. They're a defining feature of the poster — the Art Nouveau type is half the appeal — so they appear on every size we sell.

Will the soft green background look washed out in a bright, sunny room?

The green is muted rather than vivid, so in strong daylight it reads gentle rather than dramatic. If you want the theatrical effect, hang it on a wall that doesn't get direct sun, or in a room you mostly use in the evening with lamplight — that's when it really comes alive.

Does the figure read as too risqué for a dining room?

The figure is stylised and draped, not explicit — typical of 1890s Art Nouveau posters. Most buyers hang it in dining rooms, home bars and studies without a second thought. If your dining room is shared with very young children at eye-level, you may prefer to hang it higher than usual.
