How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.
Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.
For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall

Does the print actually read as Amsterdam, or just a generic European street?

The narrow gabled houses, stepped rooflines, canal-side setting and bicycles are all clear Amsterdam cues. Anyone who has visited will spot it quickly. It is recognisable without being a tourist poster — closer to a hand-painted memory than a landmark print.

Is the palette dark enough to hold a feature wall, or is it quite soft?

It is on the soft side. The deep greens and dusty browns give it weight, but the sky and water are pale and washy. It anchors a wall best at medium size on a light or off-white background, rather than fighting for attention on a dark painted wall.

Will the bicycles and tiny figures still read at a smaller size?

The buildings are the main event, so the piece still works small. The bicycles and figures become texture rather than detail below A3, which is fine for a hallway or above a desk. Go medium or larger if you want the street life to stay legible.
