How do I frame an art print?

Good news—you don’t have to!

All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

  • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
  • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
  • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
  • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

  1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

  2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

  3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall

Is the yellow background quite strong, or more muted?

It's a real, warm mustard yellow — not pastel, not neon. It reads as a confident background colour rather than a soft wash, so it carries the wall on its own. It sits comfortably against soft white, warm brown or pale blue walls, and pulls warmth into rooms with cooler lighting.

Would this work in a small kitchen?

Yes, especially in a small kitchen that needs character. Go for the medium size and hang it above a table, sideboard or open shelf so it sits near eye level. Keep the wall around it fairly clear — one anchor print does more for a small kitchen than several small ones competing for attention.

Is it suitable for a child's room?

It works well in a child's room or reading corner. The cat is friendly and a bit funny rather than scary, and the yellow is cheerful without being sugary. It's a good fit for rooms shared by adults and kids — a family kitchen, a playroom that doubles as a study, or a bright hallway.
