How do I frame an art print?

Good news—you don’t have to!

All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

  • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
  • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
  • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
  • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

  1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

  2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

  3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Will the dark background look heavy in a small room?

It can, but in a good way. The near-black sits like negative space rather than a block of colour, so the cloud reads as the focal point and the wall behind feels deeper. In a small bedroom or study, it tends to make the room feel more enclosed and calm rather than cramped — as long as you don't crowd it with other dark pieces.

Does the image have any visible grain or texture?

Yes — there's a deliberate softness in the shadows and a subtle grain throughout. It stops the print feeling clinical or overly digital and gives the cloud a more photographic, lived-in quality. At normal viewing distance it reads as atmosphere; up close you can see the texture in the dark areas.

Is this better hung in portrait above a bed or in a hallway?

Both work, but for different reasons. Above a bed it centres the room and gives you a single calm focal point to wake up to. In a hallway it acts as a pause — somewhere to land your eye between rooms. It's less suited to busy living-room walls where it'll have to compete with too much furniture.
