In 1767, this would have felt radical. It still does. Fragonard's swinging girl is the same — pink skirts, kicked-off slipper, the air thick with leaves — but a small black cat now sits in her lap, watching the whole flirtation play out.

How do I frame an art print?

Good news—you don’t have to!

All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

  • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
  • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
  • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
  • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

  1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

  2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

  3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall

Is the black cat clearly visible, or is it a tiny detail?

The cat sits right in the centre of the swinger's lap, painted in solid black against her pink skirt — so it reads instantly even from across the room. It's the first thing most people notice, then they spot the slipper, then the boy in the flowers.

Will the deep green background feel heavy in a small bedroom?

It can. The painting is largely shadowed garden, so in a small or cool-white room it will dominate. It works best on a warm-toned wall — soft cream, blush, or a deep green panelled wall — with at least one warm lamp nearby in the evening.

Does the composition pull the eye to one side?

Yes — the swing arcs up and to the left, with the kicked-off slipper flying further left still. Hang it where there's a little breathing room on the left-hand side, or centre it on a wall where that diagonal energy has somewhere to go.
