About This Art

Start with the molten gold; it'll wake every walnut surface around it. This Klimt-inspired forest reads as a wall of vertical trunks dotted with spirals, opening on a luminous clearing of saffron and pale teal. Hang it where you need the eye to travel upwards — beside a tall bookcase, at the end of a corridor, or above a low sideboard so the gold drops into the room. Pair with rough linen, aged brass, dark stained oak, and one piece of chunky ceramic; let the print do the colour work. How do I frame an art print?

Good news—you don’t have to!

All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

  • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
  • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
  • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
  • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

  1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

  2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

  3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall

Is this an actual Klimt painting?

No — it's an original piece in the style of Klimt's late forest works ('Birch Forest', 'Beech Grove'). It borrows his vertical trunks, dotted shimmer and gold-on-jewel palette, but it isn't a reproduction of a specific painting.

Will the gold and teal clash with warm wood floors?

The opposite — it's built for warm wood. Walnut, stained oak and aged brass all pick up the molten gold in the trunks and make the teal recede. Cool greys and chrome are where this piece struggles.

Can I hang this in a small hallway?

Yes, and it's one of our favourite uses for it. A narrow hallway lets the vertical composition do its job — the eye travels up the trunks and the clearing in the middle pulls you down the corridor. Give it at least 30cm clear either side.
