How do I frame an art print?

Good news—you don’t have to!

All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

  • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
  • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
  • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
  • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

  1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

  2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

  3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall

Does the print read as green overall, or more blue?

Overall it reads green — soft sage and olive in the bamboo on the left, with the canopy lit warm yellow. The right-hand wall of bamboo is the cooler element, painted in muted blue-green, so you get a balance rather than one flat colour.

Will the 'Gardens of the World' banner and 'Bamboo Grove – Kyoto' text be on the printed version?

Yes — the banner type and the place name are part of the design, in the travel-poster style. The text is in a quiet serif on off-white, so it sits with the painting rather than shouting over it.

Is the portrait shape better above a console or in a hallway?

Both work. Above a console the downward path leads the eye into the room, which feels grounded. In a hallway, the tall stems repeat the vertical pull of a long corridor and stop the wall feeling empty. Aim for slightly below eye-level either way.
