How do I frame an art print?

Good news—you don’t have to!

All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

  • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
  • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
  • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
  • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

  1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

  2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

  3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Is the yellow as bright in person as it looks on screen?

It's a warm, painterly yellow rather than a flat highlighter shade. On the wall it reads as sunlit ochre with cream behind it, so it feels bright and cheerful but not neon. In rooms with cream walls and warm wood it settles in quickly.

Will this work in a narrow hallway or is it too busy?

It actually suits narrow hallways well. The portrait shape and the tram leading you down the street give a sense of depth, which helps a tight space feel longer rather than more crowded. Keep the wall around it plain and don't add other prints close by.

Does the scene clearly read as Lisbon?

Yes — the blue and yellow Remodelado tram, the tall yellow townhouses with green shutters and wrought-iron balconies, and the narrow climbing street are all Lisbon cues, most likely the Alfama or Bairro Alto. It's recognisable without needing a caption.
