About This Art

No, the black geometry doesn't soften the room. It defines it. A grid of hard-edged half-circles and quarter-circles, anchored by Bauhaus exhibition typography from 1923.

The wall stops being background. Lines feel sharper, furniture looks more deliberate, and the rest of the room reads as edited rather than empty.

How do I frame an art print?

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

  1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

  2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

  3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Will the heavy black shapes make a small room feel smaller?

Not usually. The cream ground is more than half the image, so the print reads as graphic rather than dark. In a small office or hallway it adds focus without closing the room in — much more like a strong piece of typography than a heavy painting.

Does the 1923 date and Frankfurt text matter, or is it just decoration?

It's a nod to the original Bauhaus exhibition era rather than a reproduction of a specific historical poster. The typography is part of the design — it gives the piece anchor and context, but you don't need to know the history for it to work on your wall.

Will it work next to colourful art, or does it need to stand alone?

It really wants to stand alone. The hard black shapes pull the eye hard, and most colourful prints will lose a fight with it. If you must pair, keep neighbours quiet — small typography, a single line drawing, or plain framed photography in black and white.
