How do I frame an art print?

Good news—you don’t have to!

All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

  • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
  • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
  • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
  • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

  1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

  2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

  3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall

Will the type still read clearly from across the room?

Yes. The headline word is set in heavy serif type with plenty of contrast against the white background, so it reads from a few metres away. The smaller definition text is meant to reward a closer look — ideal above a drinks cabinet where guests stand to pour.

Does this only work in a dedicated home bar?

Not at all. It sits happily in a kitchen near the drinks shelf, in a dining room, on a snug living-room wall, or in a study. The monochrome palette is easy to place — the only rooms to avoid are children's bedrooms and nurseries.

What size should I go for above a drinks cabinet?

A medium portrait size is the sweet spot above a standard drinks cabinet or console — wide enough to anchor the furniture below without dominating the wall. Leave roughly 15–20cm of breathing room between the top of the cabinet and the bottom of the frame.
