How do I frame an art print?

Good news—you don’t have to!

All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

  • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
  • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
  • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
  • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

  1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

  2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

  3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall

Will the deep red feel too heavy in a small room?

Not usually. The red sits inside a busy, lighter background of cream and pattern, so it reads as a warm accent rather than a solid block. In smaller rooms it works best on a calm wall with one matching tone elsewhere — a cushion, throw or rug — so the colour has somewhere to land.

Does the cat make this feel twee or cartoonish?

No. The cat is painted in the same loose oil style as the woman, with visible brushwork rather than cute, illustrated features. It reads more as a studio painting than a novelty cat print, so it suits grown-up living rooms and studies rather than a child's bedroom.

Is this better above a sofa or above a desk?

Either works, but it sings above a low sideboard, console or writing desk where you can hang it at eye level. Above a sofa it should sit just above the back cushions so the portrait meets you when you're seated, rather than floating high near the ceiling.
