How do I frame an art print?

Good news—you don’t have to!

All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

  • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
  • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
  • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
  • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

  1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

  2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

  3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall

Will all these colours feel too much in a small kitchen?

It's a confident piece, but the composition is balanced — most of the surface is calm blue sky, water and off-white wall, with the brighter pinks, yellows and reds concentrated in the still life. In a small kitchen, hang it solo on a plain wall and keep tea towels, ceramics and worktop clutter quiet so the print does the talking.

Does this look better above a sink or on a dining wall?

Both work, but a dining wall gives you a better viewing distance. The brushwork and colour blocks read most clearly from around 1.5–3 metres away, so a wall behind a table or breakfast nook is ideal. Above a sink works too if you have a clear stretch of wall and no busy splashback competing for attention.

Is the lake view a real place?

It's a loose, imagined Mediterranean-style view — cypress trees, blue water, hills in the distance — rather than a specific lake. That makes it easy to live with: it reads as 'somewhere warm and sunny' without locking you into one location, so it suits coastal, Mediterranean and bohemian kitchens equally well.
