How do I frame an art print?

Good news—you don’t have to!

All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

  • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
  • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
  • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
  • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

  1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

  2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

  3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Will the bright yellow look too much in a small kitchen?

It's bold, but the yellow sits inside the frame and reads as warmth, not glare. In a small kitchen it actually helps make the space feel sunnier. The deep blue shutters and black cat give your eye somewhere to rest, so it doesn't feel relentless.

Does the cat look friendly or a bit stern?

Honestly, a bit stern — yellow eyes, upright posture, watching out the window. It has personality rather than cuteness. If you want a soft, smiling cat illustration this isn't it; if you want a cat that looks like it owns the house, this is your print.

Will it work on a coloured wall, or does it need white?

It works best on warm off-white, cream or soft plaster pink. A deep blue or dark green wall can hold it too, as long as the wall is matt. Avoid bright white gloss and cool grey — both fight the warm yellows in the print.
