About This Art

There's a reason photographers kept returning to quiet beaches at low tide; rooms still respond. Two surfers cross the wet sand with their boards, the sea flat and pale behind them, headland just visible in the haze.

How do I frame an art print?

Good news—you don’t have to!

All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

  • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
  • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
  • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
  • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

  1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

  2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

  3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall

How much detail is in the figures?

The two surfers are small silhouettes near the bottom of the frame. You can read the boards and the stance, but no faces or clothing detail. They give the image its scale and story without dominating it, which is why it reads as a calm seascape first and a figurative print second.

Will it look washed out on a white wall?

The sky and water are deliberately pale, so on a bright white wall the image floats rather than pops. A black frame fixes that instantly and gives it edges. On an off-white, putty or pale grey wall it sits more naturally without needing a heavy frame.

Does it work in a bathroom with steam?

Behind acrylic glazing in a framed art print, yes — most family bathrooms are fine. Avoid hanging it directly above a shower or in a wet room. Canvas copes well with normal bathroom humidity too, as long as the room ventilates between uses.
