How do I frame an art print?

Good news—you don’t have to!

All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

  • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
  • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
  • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
  • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

  1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

  2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

  3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall

Does the cool blue water look cold on a north-facing wall?

The blue here is a soft mid-tone, not a sharp icy blue, and the warm sand and orange in the boat hold it back from feeling chilly. On a north-facing wall it reads as calm rather than cold, especially with warm bulbs and pale wood nearby.

Will it work above a king-size bed, or look lost?

It depends on size. A small print will float above a king. Size up to large or statement so the print roughly matches the width of the bedside tables, and the open water and sky read as deliberate space rather than empty wall.

Is the style detailed or flat?

Flat. It's done in a paper-cut style — clean shapes for water, hill, sky and boat, with no brush texture or fine detail. That's what makes it calm to live with, but it's worth knowing if you were hoping for a painterly traditional landscape.
