About This Art

With a botanical study, scale decides whether the kitchen wakes up. This restored 1922 Mexican magazine cover gives you a flowering prickly pear cactus on warm cream, anchored by deep red lettering. Hang it big enough and the room shifts — cream walls warm up, green plants on the counter suddenly have a friend, and the deep red ties back to copper pans, terracotta pots, and red kitchen towels you forgot were doing any work. It earns the wall above a console, a sideboard, or a stretch of cabinetry. Pair with oak, pine, woven baskets, glazed stoneware, and any plant you already own. Avoid hanging it next to fussy framed prints with thin gold detailing — the lettering wants room to breathe. Printed on premium fine-art paper for a soft, painterly finish.

Printing, Paper and Frames

Quality you can see (and feel)
Printed using museum-grade giclée technology on thick, matte art paper - no glare, just soft, natural colour that looks beautiful.

The kind of detail and depth that makes people lean in closer. Hand-framed in solid FSC-certified wood. Never cheap MDF or plastic-y veneers.

Won't fade, even in direct sunlight
Premium acrylic glaze with UV blocking keeps colours vibrant for 100+ years. Hang it anywhere - bedroom, hallway, that sunny spot above the sofa - without worry.

Unbox, hang, done
Arrives framed with fixtures already attached. Two minutes with a hammer and your wall goes from blank to "where did you get that?"

Made responsiblyFSC-certified wood and paper. Water-based, vegan inks. Crafted to order, so there's zero waste and zero guilt.

How do I frame an art print?

Good news—you don’t have to!

All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

  • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
  • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
  • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
  • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

What makes Fab frames so good?

Not all frames are created equal. Many cheap frames are made with acidic materials or glazes that lack UV protection—meaning your beautiful print could fade, discolor, or deteriorate over time.

At Fab, we do things differently. Our frames are thoughtfully built to preserve and protect your artwork for the long haul. We use FSC-certified wood, 100% acid-free materials, and a UV-protective glaze to keep your print looking vibrant for decades.

That’s why our prints have an 80+ year archival lifespan—no fading, no yellowing, just art you’ll love for years to come.

If you're investing in art you love, it's worth framing it right.

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

  1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

  2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

  3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall

Is the lettering at the top sharp enough to read from across a room?

Yes. The deep red 'EL MAESTRO' type sits cleanly against the cream ground and stays readable from a few metres back. At large size it carries a wall on its own; at smaller sizes the type still reads but the cactus illustration starts doing more of the work.

Will the deep red and yellow clash in a room with terracotta or warm pink?

No, it sits comfortably in warm rooms. The red is a deep, slightly earthy tone rather than a bright primary, and the yellow is soft. Both work next to terracotta, warm pink, ochre, and warm browns. They will fight cool greys and icy blues, so steer the room warm.

Is the background a true white or more of a cream?

It's a warm cream — closer to oat or old paper than to bright white. That's part of why it suits farmhouse, Mediterranean and lived-in kitchens. Against a stark white wall it will read slightly creamy, which is intentional for the vintage feel.
