How do I frame an art print?

Good news—you don’t have to!

All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

  • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
  • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
  • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
  • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

  1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

  2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

  3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

How prominent is the typography at the top and bottom of the poster?

The 'WILLIAM MORRIS' header and exhibition details are clearly readable but printed in a slim, restrained serif — they frame the artwork rather than competing with the dragonfly. From normal viewing distance the eye lands on the dragonfly first, then settles on the type.

Will the soft cream background look washed out on a white wall?

The background is a warm oat-cream, not bright white, so it reads as a distinct soft tone against a cool white wall. On a chalky off-white or warm plaster wall it blends more gently. An oak or warm wood frame helps lift it on any wall colour.

Does the green in the leaves lean more sage or more olive?

The foliage sits between dusty sage and muted olive — soft and slightly grey-green rather than bright or yellow-green. It pairs comfortably with mustard, terracotta, oat and warm wood tones, and won't clash with most existing green schemes.
