How do I frame an art print?

Good news—you don’t have to!

All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

  • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
  • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
  • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
  • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

What makes Fab frames so good?

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

  1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

  2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

  3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall

Will the scribble lines still look separate from a normal viewing distance?

At medium and large sizes, yes. Stand a couple of metres back and you read the dog's shape; step closer and the individual pen strokes come apart. At the smallest size the lines start to merge into grey, so go up a tier if the wall allows it.

Is the Samoyed recognisable, or does it read as an abstract shape?

It reads as a Samoyed. The upright ears, thick ruff, curled tail and broad stance are all there, and the muzzle and one eye are left mostly clear of scribbles so the face anchors the whole thing. From further away it looks graphic; up close it's clearly the breed.

Does it work in a room that already has a lot going on?

That's where it does best. The background is plain off-white and there's no colour at all, so it won't argue with patterned rugs, textured cushions or bold upholstery. Just keep the wall itself plain — wallpaper or panelling behind it competes with the linework.
