Which colours work best alongside Amalfi Coast art prints?

The Amalfi Coast palette runs through sun-bleached terracotta, cerulean blue, warm lemon yellow, and chalky white. We think these prints look their best against soft neutral walls (warm white, light stone, or pale sand) because it lets those Mediterranean colours do the talking. If you're styling a living room, pick up the warm tones with linen cushions in ochre or dusty rose, and keep metallics to brushed brass. Avoid cool greys, which can fight with the warmth of the Italian light in the print.

How big should an Amalfi Coast print be for above a sofa?

For a standard UK three-seater sofa (around 200cm wide), we recommend a 70x100cm framed Amalfi Coast wall art print. That gives you roughly two-thirds coverage of the sofa width, which is the sweet spot for making the art feel intentional rather than lost on the wall. Hang the bottom of the frame about 15 to 20cm above the sofa back. Our framed prints arrive ready to hang with fixtures already attached, so you can get it up in minutes rather than spending a weekend fiddling with fittings.

Is coastal wall art still on trend or does it look dated?

Coastal decor is absolutely still in style, but the key difference between timeless and tacky is quality. Cheap, oversaturated beach posters on flimsy paper will always look like a university dorm room. Our Amalfi Coast prints are museum-grade giclée on thick matte paper with natural colour reproduction, so the tones feel sophisticated rather than screaming "holiday souvenir." Paired with a solid wood frame and UV-protective glaze, this is the kind of Italian coastal art that still looks considered in ten years.

Can I create a gallery wall with Amalfi Coast and Positano prints?

Yes, and honestly this is one of our favourite uses for the collection. We'd suggest grouping three to five Amalfi Coast art prints in a mix of two sizes (say two 30x40cm prints alongside one larger 50x70cm centrepiece) for a hallway or dining area. Stick to one frame finish across all prints, either natural oak or black, to keep it cohesive. Mix scenes from different towns like Positano, Ravello, and Amalfi itself so you get variety in composition without clashing colour palettes.

Why does the Amalfi Coast make such compelling wall art?

It comes down to the light and the geometry. The Amalfi Coast stacks pastel-coloured houses against dramatic cliffs with the deep blue Tyrrhenian Sea as a backdrop, giving every scene natural depth, contrast, and a colour palette that reads beautifully on a wall. Unlike generic beach photography, Amalfi Coast artwork carries a sense of place and history that makes a room feel worldly rather than just "beachy." Whether it is the cascading terraces of Positano or the lemon groves above Ravello, these prints bring warmth, texture, and conversation to any space.
