Decorative Art Prints

4.8

Decorative art earns its place by finishing a wall rather than dominating it: ornament, motif, repeat and flourish. Browse painted birds and blossom in chinoiserie art prints, the curling stems of art nouveau florals, or pattern art prints that hang well in a pair or a run above a sideboard. If you're unsure where to begin, pick up a colour already in the room and work outward from there.

How do you choose a decorative print

Short answers on framing, picking a size for your wall, colour matching, delivery and returns

What are the different types of art prints?

Most decorative wall art falls into a few simple formats. Paper art prints are the classic choice and can be bought framed or unframed, while canvas prints give a softer, more painterly surface and also come framed or unframed. A framed canvas arrives as one finished piece, so there's no separate frame to fit and no assembly. Choose paper for crisp detail and canvas for texture.

What makes a print "decorative" rather than fine art?

Decorative prints are chosen for how they work in a room rather than for rarity. The category typically covers abstract compositions, botanical illustrations, geometric patterns, fashion-inspired designs and mixed-media collage, with palettes picked to sit comfortably with furniture and paint colours. They're open reproductions made for everyday decorating, so you can pick purely on scale, colour and mood.

What styles of art prints are trending right now?

Bold abstracts, calm landscapes, botanical illustrations, geometric patterns and typographic designs continue to dominate what shoppers are buying, alongside pared-back Scandinavian-inspired prints in muted neutrals. The practical takeaway: pick a style that echoes something already in the room, such as a wood tone, a textile or a wall colour, and the print will look intentional rather than trend-chasing.

How do I choose art prints without overspending?

Affordable wall art is easy to find online, so set your budget by the wall rather than the piece. One larger print usually does more for a big empty wall than several small ones, while a gallery grouping of smaller prints suits stairways and narrow spaces. Delivery is free and returns are accepted within 99 days, so you can try a print at home and send it back if the scale or colour isn't right.
