How big are these XL art prints, and what size wall do I need?

Our XL art prints go up to 70x100cm (or 100x70cm in landscape), which is a serious statement piece. For context, that's roughly the width of a standard UK two-seater sofa. You'll want a wall with at least 150cm of clear width so the print can breathe and truly command the space. If you've got a large blank wall in your living room or above a king-size bed, this is the size that finally makes it feel finished rather than empty.

How big should art be above my sofa?

The two-thirds rule is your friend here: your art should be roughly two-thirds the width of your sofa. So above a standard three-seater (around 200cm wide), a 100x70cm landscape XL print sits perfectly and looks intentional rather than lost. Hang the centre of the print at about 145cm from the floor, which keeps it visually connected to the sofa rather than floating up near the ceiling. How do I hang a large art print properly so it looks right?

The 57-inch rule (or 145cm) is the standard: hang the centre of the print at that height from the floor, which mirrors average eye level and is what galleries use. For XL prints, we'd also recommend getting someone to hold it against the wall before you drill so you can step back and check the placement from where you'll actually sit. Use the two-point hanging fixtures that come pre-attached to our framed prints for a level, secure fit. And leave at least 15-20cm between the top of your furniture and the bottom of the frame so the two don't feel cramped together.
