Buying villa art: your questions

What colours go with Mediterranean villa prints?

Most villa imagery is built from a friendly palette: pastel pink and ochre plaster, terracotta roofs, olive and cypress green, plus sea blues and bright whites. Pull one of those tones into cushions, ceramics or a rug to tie the piece into the room, and let the rest of the scheme stay neutral. Sea-blue accents cool the look down, while ochre and terracotta make it feel sunnier.

Should I choose a painted villa scene or a villa photograph?

Painted and illustrated villa scenes feel softer and more decorative, with looser shapes and stylised colour that blend easily into layered, eclectic rooms. Photographic villa views give sharper detail, real light and a travel-memory quality that works well as a single statement piece. If you're building a gallery wall, sticking to one approach across the group keeps it cohesive.
