How do I choose the right size art print for my living room?

Use the two-thirds rule: your art should be roughly two-thirds the width of the furniture beneath it. So above a standard 200cm sofa, you want a print around 120-140cm wide (a pair of our 70x100cm prints with a small gap works perfectly) or a single large statement piece of at least 70x100cm. If you go too small, the wall will still feel empty and the print will look like an afterthought. We offer art prints up to 70x100cm framed and canvases up to 100x150cm, which covers most living room walls comfortably.

How is an art print different from a poster?

Night and day. A poster is mass-produced on thin, glossy paper that curls at the edges, fades in sunlight, and looks worse the closer you get. Our art prints use museum-grade giclée printing on thick matte paper with water-based inks rated to last hundreds of years, even in direct sunlight. The colour depth and detail are genuinely visible, especially up close. If you've ever bought a cheap poster, framed it yourself, and ended up with bubbling or warping, that problem disappears when your print arrives already fitted in a solid wood frame, ready to hang.

Do your art prints arrive ready to hang or do I need to sort framing myself?

They arrive completely ready to hang. If you order a framed print, the artwork is already professionally fitted into a solid FSC-certified wood frame with UV-protective acrylic glazing and fixtures on the back. Frame and print ship together in one box, so there's no assembling, no trips to a framing shop, and no risk of the print sitting in a corner for three months while you 'get around to it.' This is one of the things our customers comment on most: you open the box and it's on the wall in minutes.

Which art prints work best for small spaces like hallways and bedrooms?

In tight spaces, go portrait orientation and don't be afraid of bold subject matter. A single 30x40cm or 40x50cm framed print at eye level in a narrow hallway creates a focal point without overwhelming the space. For bedrooms, a pair of matching prints (around 30x40cm each) centred above the headboard reads as intentional and considered. Avoid going too small though. One confident piece always looks better than a cluster of tiny prints that make a small room feel cluttered. We'd steer you toward abstract art prints or botanical subjects, which add visual interest without competing with the rest of the room.

Can I display art prints without frames and still have them look good?

Honestly, unframed paper prints pinned or taped to a wall tend to look temporary and student-flat-ish. If you want a clean, frameless look, our canvas prints are a much better option. They're hand-stretched over a solid wood frame with mirrored edges, so they hang flush against the wall with a contemporary gallery feel and zero framing required. If you do prefer paper prints, we'd always recommend choosing one of our framed options. The solid wood frames elevate the whole piece and you avoid the curling and damage that comes with leaving paper exposed.
