How do I frame an art print?

Good news—you don’t have to!

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

  1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

  2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

  3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Will the gold actually look metallic on the wall?

No — it's a painted gold, not a foil or metallic finish. The squares read as warm yellow-gold and bronze brushstrokes on paper or canvas. Under lamplight they catch the eye, but the surface itself is a normal print, not reflective.

Is the navy background dark enough to feel heavy in a small room?

The navy sits in the top corners and around the ball, with plenty of soft grey and warm gold breaking it up. It reads as atmospheric rather than oppressive, and works fine in smaller rooms as long as you give it a clear wall rather than crowding it.

Does this only suit retro or 70s-themed rooms?

Not at all. The painterly brushwork pulls it away from disco-era pastiche. It sits comfortably in contemporary living rooms, art-deco-leaning dining spaces, and modern glam interiors — anywhere you want one confident, after-dark focal point.
