How do I frame an art print?

Good news—you don’t have to!

All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

  • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
  • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
  • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

  1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

  2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

  3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall

Will the deep green background look too dark on a small wall?

It reads as a warm, settled green rather than a heavy one — the soft pink and cream specimens lift it. On a small wall it acts a bit like a piece of painted panelling, giving the room depth without closing it in. It works especially well in narrow hallways and small bathrooms.

Is the detail readable from across the room?

The large central medusae read clearly from a few metres back, but the smaller numbered specimens reward stepping closer. Hang it somewhere you walk past or sit near — above a console, a desk, or a basin — rather than at the far end of a big room.

Does it work alongside other Haeckel plates or only on its own?

It pairs naturally with other Kunstformen der Natur plates in the same green ground — radiolarians, anemones, orchids — and with vintage botanicals or antique maps. Keep the cluster small, two or three pieces, so each plate keeps its weight.
