How do I frame an art print?

Good news—you don’t have to!

All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

  • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
  • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
  • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
  • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

  1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

  2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

  3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall

Is the background a true dark green or closer to black?

It reads as a deep, slightly mossy green rather than true black. In daylight you'll see the green clearly; under warm evening lamps it deepens and feels almost forest-toned, which is what keeps the soft pink blooms looking warm rather than icy.

Will the dense pattern overwhelm a small bedroom or narrow hallway?

It's busy, but the deep green ground holds it together so the eye reads the hummingbird first. In smaller rooms, hang it on its own and keep nearby walls plainer — a chalky off-white or matching deep green works well and stops the pattern fighting for attention.

Are the exhibition text and Underground details printed clearly at smaller sizes?

The poster text reads cleanly at medium and large sizes. At smaller sizes the headline and South Kensington line stay legible, but the date and opening hours become decorative rather than readable, so go larger if you want the wording to feel part of the piece.
