About This Art

This isn't wall filler. It's deep blue with a point of view. A cartoon take on Hokusai's Great Wave, with two white cats riding the swell under a starry navy sky.

How do I frame an art print?

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

  1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

  2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

  3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Will the deep blue make a small kids' room feel dark?

Not really. The white foam, off-white sky breaks and pale grey mid-tones balance the navy, so it reads more lively than heavy. In a smaller room, pair it with light bedding and pale wood furniture and the blue lifts the space rather than closes it in.

Is this suitable for a nursery, or is it too busy?

It works in a nursery if the rest of the room is calm — plain walls, soft textiles, uncluttered shelves. The composition is busy but the colour palette is tight, so it acts as a single focal point rather than visual noise. Hang it where the baby can see it from the cot.

Does it read as a cat print or a wave print first?

Cats first. The two white cats sit dead centre and your eye lands on them before the waves register. If you want a wave print where the sea does the talking, this isn't it — this one leads with the cats and uses Hokusai's composition as the backdrop.
