How do I frame an art print?

Good news—you don’t have to!

All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

  • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
  • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
  • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
  • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

  1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

  2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

  3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall

Is the background truly black or more of a deep grey?

It reads as a deep near-black with a slight warmth to it, rather than a flat pure black. On a darker wall it sits beautifully without looking like a black hole; on a paler wall the edges define themselves clearly. The dots are what carry the colour — soft pink, lilac, mustard and cream — against that dark ground.

Will the dots look too busy in a small room?

Most of the dots are small and softly coloured, so they read as gentle texture from a couple of metres away rather than chaos. The cat itself is a calm, solid shape that anchors the composition. In a small room, keep the wall around it clear and skip other strong patterns — the print works best as the single focal point.

Does the text on the poster read clearly at smaller sizes?

The exhibition-poster text along the top and right edge — "Y. Kusama Neko Collection" and "Modern Museum of Art – Tokyo, Japan" — stays legible at medium and large sizes. At smaller sizes the wording becomes more of a graphic detail than something you'd read across the room, which is usually fine for this kind of poster.
