How do I frame an art print?

Good news—you don’t have to!

All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

  • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
  • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
  • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
  • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

  1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

  2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

  3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall

Will the pastel colours look washed out on a cream or off-white wall?

No — the artwork has a cream ground itself, so it sits naturally against soft white and off-white walls without disappearing. The deeper accents — navy, deep red and mustard — give it just enough weight to hold the wall. If your walls are bright clinical white, a slim white or pale oak frame will help bridge the tones.

Is this suitable for a nursery, or is it more grown-up than that?

It works for both. The palette is soft enough for a nursery — pastel pink, sky blue and mustard — but the brushwork is loose and painterly rather than cartoonish, so it doesn't feel babyish. Many people hang it in a nursery first and move it into a bedroom or living room later without it looking out of place.

What size works best above a standard double or king bed?

A medium portrait size is the sweet spot above a bed. Aim for an artwork roughly two-thirds the width of the headboard, hung with the bottom edge around 15-25cm above the headboard. If you'd prefer more impact, a large size centred above the bed also works because the composition spreads softly to the edges.
