    About This Art

Open the curtains at late afternoon; the mustard yellow will handle the drama. The piece does the heavy lifting in a room that already has good light and quiet walls.

What changes when it goes up: a flat wall starts to feel like it has weather and distance. Eyes travel up the road, into the valley, then to the peaks — so the room reads taller and longer than it is.

Where to hang it: above a sofa, a console or a low sideboard in the living room or study. It also earns its keep on a stair landing where the vertical pull works in your favour.

What to pair with it: oak or walnut timber, tan leather, linen, a wool rug, and stoneware in earth tones. Warm metals like brass sit well with the yellow jerseys.

What not to do: don't crowd it with another busy landscape or a second strong-yellow piece. Give it room. Stretched over a wooden frame and ready to hang straight from the box.

Are Fab canvas prints good quality?

Absolutely. We use museum-grade canvas (the same stuff galleries use) stretched over solid wood frames. The canvas is thick enough that you can't see through it, and we wrap the print around the edges so there's no white border it looks finished from every angle.

When people see it on your wall, they'll assume you bought it at a gallery, not online.

Does it come ready to hang? Is it available framed?

Yes to both. Every canvas comes stretched over solid wood and ready to hang - hardware's already on the back, just hang it up.

You can choose unframed (modern, minimalist look - the print wraps around the edges) or add our real wood frame for a more polished, gallery finish. Either way, it's ready to go straight on your wall. No assembly, no extra trips to the frame shop.

How do I know what size will actually work in my space?

Here's the rule of thumb: your canvas should take up about 2/3 to 3/4 of the width of your furniture (like a sofa or bed). So if your couch is 180cm, you want something around 100-120cm wide.

Too small of a canvas looks lost on the wall. Too big overwhelms the room. If you're between sizes, go bigger it's almost always better to have impact than to have something that disappears.

Still not sure? Contact our team with a photo of your space and we'll tell you exactly what size will work.

    What's your return policy?

If it shows up and you're not happy with it, you have 99 days to return it for a full refund—no questions asked.

We've been doing this long enough to know that sometimes a piece just doesn't work in your space, and that's fine. Just email us and we'll sort it out.

How prominent are the yellow jerseys against the rest of the scene?

The mustard yellow on the riders' jerseys is the strongest colour in the print, but it's a warm, slightly faded mustard rather than a bright primary yellow. The rest of the image is muted — sage greens, stone greys and cream — so the jerseys read as a strong focal point rather than a colour that takes over the wall.

Will this work in a portrait shape above a wide sofa?

Yes, but think about scale. A single large portrait print above a wide sofa works if it's hung lower than usual, with the centre at about above-furniture-low height. If your sofa is very wide, you may want to flank it with two smaller, quieter prints rather than letting it sit small and lonely in the middle.

Is the alpine village in the image based on a real place?

The scene is a composite alpine landscape in the style of a 1950s travel poster — snowy peaks, a green valley and a small stone village — rather than a portrait of a specific village. It reads as French or Italian Alps and pairs naturally with other vintage travel art from the region.
