    About This Art

The oak frame matters first; it tells the bedroom you're serious. This is an Audubon plate, and the natural-history feel needs a frame that respects the age of the drawing without turning the room into a museum.

Once it goes up, the room slows down. The soft pinks lift a neutral wall, the deep greens give it weight, and the yellow on the birds catches the light in the evening. It reads as one quiet composition, not a diagram.

Works best above a low bed, a bedroom chest, or in a calm hallway with steady daylight. Likes a soft warm wall — magnolia, oat, chalky off-white — more than a cool brilliant white.

Pairs with oak, linen, aged brass and cream stoneware. Soft sage or warm cream walls flatter it.

Don't pair it with anything loud or graphic on the same wall. It has its own quiet pull and a bold abstract next to it will fight it. Stretched over a wooden frame and ready to hang.

Are Fab canvas prints good quality?

Absolutely. We use museum-grade canvas (the same stuff galleries use) stretched over solid wood frames. The canvas is thick enough that you can't see through it, and we wrap the print around the edges so there's no white border it looks finished from every angle.

When people see it on your wall, they'll assume you bought it at a gallery, not online.

Does it come ready to hang? Is it available framed?

Yes to both. Every canvas comes stretched over solid wood and ready to hang - hardware's already on the back, just hang it up.

You can choose unframed (modern, minimalist look - the print wraps around the edges) or add our real wood frame for a more polished, gallery finish. Either way, it's ready to go straight on your wall. No assembly, no extra trips to the frame shop.

How do I know what size will actually work in my space?

Here's the rule of thumb: your canvas should take up about 2/3 to 3/4 of the width of your furniture (like a sofa or bed). So if your couch is 180cm, you want something around 100-120cm wide.

Too small of a canvas looks lost on the wall. Too big overwhelms the room. If you're between sizes, go bigger it's almost always better to have impact than to have something that disappears.

Still not sure? Contact our team with a photo of your space and we'll tell you exactly what size will work.

    What's your return policy?

If it shows up and you're not happy with it, you have 99 days to return it for a full refund—no questions asked.

We've been doing this long enough to know that sometimes a piece just doesn't work in your space, and that's fine. Just email us and we'll sort it out.

Are the two birds shown the same species or a pair?

Yes, both are Black & Yellow Warblers — Audubon shows the male above and the female below on the same raspberry branch. It reads as one composition rather than two separate studies, which is why it holds a wall on its own without feeling like a diagram.

Will the pink raspberry flowers clash with a warm room?

The pinks are soft and dusty rather than bright, so they sit comfortably next to warm browns, oak, terracotta and cream. They lift a neutral room rather than fighting it. If your room leans cool blue-grey, the pinks will feel a little warmer than expected, which is usually a good thing.

Is the cream background a true off-white or does it lean yellow?

It's a warm, slightly aged cream — closer to old paper than bright white. That means it pairs well with magnolia, plaster and oat-toned walls, and can look a touch yellow against a cool brilliant white. On a soft warm wall it disappears nicely into the room.
