All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

• Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
  
• We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
  
• Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
  
• Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

Not all frames are created equal. Many cheap frames are made with acidic materials or glazes that lack UV protection—meaning your beautiful print could fade, discolor, or deteriorate over time.

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.
   
   
2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.
   
   
3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Yes. The print keeps the original 1830s plate layout, including the title 'Wandering Shearwater', the Latin name and the plate number along the lower edge. It reads as a proper natural-history plate rather than a cropped illustration, which is part of why it works in studies and libraries.

It can. The plumage is a deep warm brown and the paper is cream, so the print sits best on off-white, cream or mid-tone painted walls. On cool grey walls the warmth can feel out of place — try a slim black frame to bridge the two, or move the print to a warmer room.

Both. The composition is balanced enough to hold a wall on its own above a desk or console. If you want a set, pair it with one or two other Audubon plates in matching warm browns rather than mixing in modern or saturated work, which tends to shout over the detail.
